The 2022 Fountaine Pajot Aura 51 is a fiberglass catamaran built for serious cruising and extended offshore passages. Powered by dual 150-horsepower Volvo diesel engines, the 51-foot hull spans 26.5 feet across the beam, delivering the stable platform and living space this model is known for. The boat features an impressive power and water autonomy package: a 2,300-watt solar array paired with a Victron lithium battery system of approximately 1,980 amp-hours, dual 3,000-watt inverter-chargers, and an Aquabase watermaker. Additional systems include an underwater lighting package, Racor dual fuel filtration with line cutters on the saildrives, and a custom hardtop bimini with full enclosure.
The Maestro layout provides four cabins and four heads arranged with a full private owner's suite to port featuring dual access via both the salon and private transom entry, while three guest cabins occupy the starboard hull. The accommodations also include a washer and dryer, clear ice maker, and extensive inverter power throughout, making the interior comfortable for extended time aboard. A Highfield CL380 tender with 25-horsepower Yamaha outboard is included.
The sail plan reflects a focus on offshore capability with an upgraded inventory: a Helix G2 gennaker, 195-foot wingsail, and 250-foot wingsail. The boat has completed the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), finishing third overall, and demonstrates proven blue-water performance. Systems have been upgraded throughout to support autonomous cruising, and the boat has been professionally prepared and surveyed.
