The 2022 Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 is a purpose-built catamaran designed for extended offshore cruising and comfortable liveaboard living. At 47 feet with a 25-foot beam, this fiberglass hull is powered by twin 120-horsepower Volvo diesel engines. The three-cabin, three-head layout offers accommodation for cruising couples and their guests, with flexible living spaces suited to both island hopping and longer passages.

The electrical architecture represents a significant upgrade path for autonomy. A 1700-watt factory solar array has been expanded with additional high-efficiency panels, paired with a Victron power management system centered on four 330-amp-hour lithium batteries, dual 3000-watt inverters, and a 2000-watt backup unit. A 12-volt watermaker operates directly from the battery bank without requiring generator support. The six-zone air-conditioning system incorporates soft-start technology to reduce electrical loads, with capacity to run up to four units on battery power. A Fischer Panda generator and Starlink system provide additional backup resources.

Deck equipment reflects serious blue-water readiness. The factory tender lift carries a Highfield CL380 inflatable with a 30-horsepower Suzuki outboard on teak bunks, doubling as a dive platform and swim deck. Ground tackle includes a 40-kilogram Mantus anchor, heavy-duty swivel, 130 meters of chain, and stern anchor. The sailing inventory features a furling gennaker, Barbour hauler system, and helm-controlled reefing lines for shorthanded operation. Folding propellers with rope cutters protect the drivetrain.

The interior emphasizes comfort and refinement. Real teak highlights the cockpit sole and fold-out cockpit table. Salon and master-cabin televisions, dimmable lighting throughout, a cockpit ice maker, and a boat-wide audio system create an elevated cruising environment. Additional features include a Webasto diesel heating unit, comprehensive spare inventory for extended voyaging, two inflatable SUP boards, and a full backup autopilot system with ram. Recent maintenance includes bottom paint, transmission service with new saildrive seals, propeller service, and hull polishing.
