The 2022 Leopard 46 is a twin-hull catamaran built for serious offshore cruising. Powered by dual Yanmar engines producing 370 horsepower each with shaft drives, the boat reaches a maximum speed of 23 knots and cruises comfortably at 16 knots. The fiberglass construction spans 46 feet in length with a 24-foot beam, providing the stability and space characteristic of the platform.
This catamaran has been extensively upgraded for long-range independence and self-sufficiency. Power systems include 900 amp-hours of Victron lithium battery storage with integrated battery management, 1,200 watts of solar panels, and a 100-liter-per-hour watermaker. Fuel capacity comprises approximately 1,800 liters standard plus 1,500 liters of custom auxiliary bladders for extended offshore passages. Freshwater storage totals 700 liters. Navigation and communication equipment includes Starlink internet, FLIR thermal imaging, and a wireless docking system for single-handed operation. Additional upgrades include a 45-kilogram anchor with wireless windlass and chain counter, reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating, ActivePure air and surface purification, and electric swim platform controls.
The three-cabin layout accommodates private cruising and extended time aboard. The owner's suite provides generous space and a private ensuite, while two guest cabins each feature double berths with individual heads. The saloon opens to aft and forward cockpits, with a full flybridge and sun pads creating multiple deck living areas. On-deck features include canvas enclosure for cockpit and flybridge areas, rod storage systems, and hard-wired electric reel outlets.
Included are a 3.5-meter carbon fiber tender with 15-horsepower Yamaha outboard, life raft, sea anchor, 10 life jackets, safety equipment, mooring lines, and galley equipment.
