The NEEL 43 is a 2022 hybrid trimaran designed for long-distance cruising, powered by electric propulsion combined with a high-capacity generator and solar panels for extended energy autonomy. The design prioritizes silent, efficient operation with a 25 kW electric motor, 312 watts of solar generation, and a Fisher Panda 15000i generator supporting a comprehensive onboard power system. The sail plan—developed by Marc Lombard—features a full-battened Dacron mainsail on a ball-bearing track and a Dacron genoa on roller furler, complemented by spinnaker hardware and an electric winch for sail handling.
The interior arranges two cabins plus a spacious saloon with panoramic windows and open galley. The owner's cabin includes timber joinery and soft furnishings; the forward cabin features Alpi paneling and shelving; and port-side cabin storage integrates Alpi cabinetry. The saloon combines solid timber rails, Bolon flooring, and a central Alpi ceiling with six storage bays. A glass partition separates the saloon from the port float cabin. A rigid cockpit hardtop provides weather protection, while galley amenities include hot and cold water service on the port float.
Navigation electronics comprise a B&G package with depth and wind instruments, autopilot, VHF with AIS, and 12-inch external displays. The 12V bow thruster operates independently with dedicated power and charging. Deck hardware includes electric winches for mainsail and jib sheets, electric anchor windlass with chain counter at the helm, LINE DRIVER tender lift with remote control, and anchoring gear for heavy-weather mooring. Safety equipment rated for eight includes an EPIRB, lifelines, and auto-inflating lifejackets.
Standard fittings include LED navigation and interior lighting, electric ventilators, cabin curtains, cockpit upholstery, mooring kit with four warps and six fenders, 230V power distribution with 25-meter shore line and charging, and a 2000W/80A converter. A rigorous comfort package upgrades cabin furnishings and flooring throughout.
