The 2022 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a modern trawler built on a fiberglass hull measuring 27 feet in length with an 8.5-foot beam. It pairs a Yamaha 300-horsepower outboard engine with twin kicker engines—a 9.9-horsepower and a 2.5-horsepower Yamaha—delivering flexible power for varied cruising needs. The engine has approximately 29 hours of run time. A bow thruster, trim tabs, and laminar flow interrupters enhance handling and maneuverability in tight quarters and various sea conditions.
The fully enclosed pilothouse provides comfortable visibility and protection, while the interior layout combines functional living space with a well-appointed galley and sleeping quarters. The boat includes a diesel forced-air furnace for heating, an enclosed head with shower and electric toilet, galley sink with custom cutting boards, propane stove and oven, and a refrigerator with freezer. A microwave rounds out the galley amenities. A stateroom TV and Fusion stereo system provide entertainment below deck.
Navigation and communication systems include a Garmin autopilot, Garmin GPS chartplotter with sonar, Garmin xHD radar, and Standard Horizon VHF radio. Electrical systems feature battery banks, an inverter, and solar panels. Additional features include a macerator, windshield wiper system, washdown system, swim step, foam decking, and downrigger plugs and pads for fishing capability. A float-on Pioneer Classic trailer is included with the boat.
