2022 Sealegs 8.5M

The 2022 Sealegs 8.5M is an aluminum runabout built on a deep-V planing hull, measuring 28 feet in length with an 8.42-foot beam. The boat combines conventional marine capability with amphibious technology: a single 250 hp Yamaha outboard with electronic power steering delivers a top speed of 39 knots and a cruising speed of 26 knots on water, while an inboard 35 hp Briggs & Stratton engine powers the all-wheel-drive amphibious system for land transit at up to 7.5 km/h. Fuel capacity is 250 liters.

The cabin accommodates six persons and includes one convertible cabin with two single berths and an optional infill cushion. A plumbed toilet sits beneath the helm seat with privacy curtain. The design and engineering reflect Sealegs' New Zealand manufacturing, combining rugged aluminum construction with a platform suited to fishing, day cruising, and amphibious operation across varied terrain and water.
