2022 Seawind 1160 Lite

The Seawind 1160 Lite is a 38-foot fiberglass catamaran built for cruising with minimal crew. This lightweight design, displacing 14,330 pounds, combines stability and maneuverability with dual helm stations for flexible handling. Two 50-horsepower Yamaha gasoline engines provide propulsion, and the mast height complies with Intracoastal Waterway air draft restrictions.

The layout accommodates three staterooms and one head, making it suitable for solo sailors, couples, or small family voyages. The boat has been upgraded with substantial systems for extended cruising: 1.25 kilowatt solar panels, 1,320 amp-hour lithium iron phosphate batteries, a 3-kilowatt inverter-charger, and a 2.8-kilowatt portable generator. Additional equipment includes a 20-horsepower tender outboard, a 1-kilowatt e-bike, and Petit Vivid bottom paint.

This 2022 example shows 140 engine hours and has operated in brackish Chesapeake Bay waters with consistent maintenance. New bed mattresses and aft deck cushions have been fitted throughout.
