The Amel 60 is a fiberglass bluewater cruiser built in La Rochelle to a design proven across decades of long-distance ocean cruising. The yacht's construction uses vinylester resins with laminated bulkheads, creating a rigid, torsion-free structure. The cockpit is deep and well-protected, with a fixed doghouse positioned above the helm station. Below decks, the interior is bright and modern, receiving natural light and ventilation through numerous large hull ports, coachhouse windows, eight deck hatches, and seven portholes.
Accommodation comprises three cabins: a generous owner's cabin aft spanning the full beam, and two symmetrical forward guest cabins. There are three heads compartments, each with a separate shower. The interior finish is light oak. The yacht is powered by a single 175 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine and carries a 17.5 kVA diesel generator.
This 2023 model is equipped with an electric carbon fiber furling mast, retractable bow thruster, and stern thruster. Power systems include a lithium battery bank. Onboard are air conditioning, diesel heating, a 240 l/h watermaker, electric winches, and a cutter stay for a self-tacking jib with electric furler. The sail inventory is from Elvström. This is the first owner's private yacht.
