2023 Bluewater 56

This 2023 Bluewater 56 is a German Frers center-cockpit design built for offshore cruising. The hull features solid fiberglass construction with Twaron aramid reinforcement, a half skeg-hung rudder for protection and directional stability, and a step-down transom for practical boarding. The boat is powered by a single 150-horsepower Yammer diesel engine and carries 305 gallons of fuel and 300 gallons of freshwater, supporting extended blue-water and Caribbean passages. At 7'4" draft, the yacht is suited to shallow-water cruising grounds as well.

The interior comprises three cabins and two heads, laid out for genuine liveaboard use. Joinery is white oak with Ultraleather upholstery throughout. The third cabin includes a pull-out double berth and a dedicated stainless-steel workbench. The galley is equipped with a five-burner Force 10 stove, a combination microwave/air fryer/convection oven, drawer refrigeration and freezer by Vitrifrigo, and a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher.

The rig and sail-handling systems are configured for short-handed operation: Selden in-mast and headsail electric furling paired with electric winches, a custom stainless-steel bowsprit, and a Doyle sail inventory including Hydranet triradial mainsail, genoa, staysail, and asymmetric capability. A full cockpit enclosure is fitted.

Below decks, the systems reflect extended cruising needs: a 1,600-ampere-hour lithium house bank with dual Mastervolt 4,500-watt inverters and 200-amp chargers, 1,000 watts of solar generation with Victron MPPT control, three-zone reverse-cycle air conditioning, and a Spectra Cape Horn 380 watermaker. Helm instrumentation is a Garmin offshore electronics package. Additional equipment includes a Side-Power bow thruster, Jefa direct-drive steering, Simpson Lawrence electric davits, Maxwell windlass with oversized stainless anchor, and Coppercoat bottom paint.
