NO RETREAT is hull #2 of the Hylas 57, a Bill Dixon design built by Queen Long Marine. The yacht features a vacuum-infused composite hull with carbon reinforcement, twin rudders linked by a Jefa torque-tube steering system, bow and stern watertight bulkheads, and a shoal-draft lead keel drawing approximately 6'5". The double-headsail rig comprises a self-tacking jib and larger genoa, all with hydraulic furling, paired with a North Sails in-mast mainsail. Harken 60 Rewind electric primary winches handle genoa, jib, and mainsheet trim via push-button controls at either helm or the winches themselves. Twin helm stations carry full engine and thruster controls, Raymarine MFDs with P70 autopilot displays and i70 instruments, and the system supports two autopilot drive units with a selector switch for true redundancy.
Below decks, the raised-saloon layout combines modern comfort with serious cruising capability. The owner's suite aft features a full-beam king bed; a generous guest cabin sits forward; a third cabin holds over-under bunks. Two large heads include separate shower stalls. The galley is open, and European white oak cabinetry with parquet sole runs throughout. European white oak cabinetry, parquet flooring, and large hull windows create a bright interior. Four zones of Dometic air conditioning serve the forward cabin, dual-zone saloon, and aft owner's cabin. Sonos surround sound with Samsung smart TVs, Starlink Gen3 satellite internet, and a robust 24V electrical system support extended offshore passages.
The yacht carries a Northern Lights 9 kW generator, Spectra Newport 400C watermaker, dual freshwater pumps, and a Splendide 2100XC washer-dryer in the forward head. Comprehensive bilge redundancy includes multiple pumps, high-water alarms, and an Arid Bilge system. Twin proportional bow and stern thrusters ease maneuvering. On deck, a hydraulic teak swim platform with integrated steps and swim ladder, hydraulic adjustable backstay and vang, electric extending sunshade, and a 3-sided front cockpit enclosure with storage support both cruising and coastal use. Simpson Lawrence electric davits deploy a Highfield Ocean Master 350 tender with 40 hp Suzuki.
The Volvo Penta 150 hp diesel engine shows approximately 600 hours; the generator approximately 240 hours. Recent work includes fresh bottom paint applied in Fall 2025 and Semco-sealed teak decks. The yacht is fitted with comprehensive bluewater equipment including redundant steering, dual autopilots, integrated Raymarine AR200 augmented-reality navigation, satellite weather integration, and a security system with cabin camera and motion sensors. Her shoal draft makes her well-suited to the Intracoastal Waterway and Bahamas, while her systems and build support open-ocean cruising.
