2023 Boston Whaler 280 Dauntless

The 2023 Boston Whaler 280 Dauntless is a 27.75-foot center-console built for shallow-water exploration, cruising, and entertaining. Twin Mercury 250 V8 outboards with under 10 hours of runtime deliver 500 total horsepower, achieving a top speed of 47 mph and a cruising speed of 30 mph. The boat planes in 3.4 seconds and reaches 30 mph in 5.9 seconds. A fiberglass hardtop, electric trim tabs, and full SmartCraft integration are standard.

The 280 Dauntless accommodates up to 12 people across multiple seating areas. Notable included features are a Simrad NSO evo3S 16-inch navigation system with integrated GPS and fishfinder, a premium JL Audio stereo with six waterproof speakers, dual 8-inch subwoofers, and 1000 watts of total amplification. Additional equipment includes a vacu-flush head with pump-out capability, anchor windlass with stainless steel anchor, bow table, swim platform, beach boarding ladder, and raw water washdown.

The helm includes full-height side glass and windshield with vent, joystick control via hydraulic tilt steering, and a SmartCraft Deluxe Gauge Package. The light blue gelcoat hull is finished with chrome graphics, white rub rail with stainless steel insert, and split bow rail. The boat carries 160 gallons of fuel and has a dry weight of 5,495 pounds. Three battery trays with wiring and a battery charging system are installed.
