2023 Catana 50

The 2023 Catana 50 is a modern ocean-going catamaran built using Carbon Infusion construction throughout the hull, deck, structural reinforcements, and bulkheads. The design features fine entry hulls, an aft mast, and electric daggerboards for improved windward performance and reduced leeway. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 114 hp combined provide primary propulsion, supported by MaxProp three-blade folding propellers. The boat measures 51.58 feet in length with a 26.17-foot beam.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates four cabins and three heads. The layout includes a captain's cabin at the port bow and a convertible starboard forepeak berth. The galley is equipped with a gas grill, dishwasher, microwave, washer-dryer, and a 180-liter additional freezer. Climate control includes a 21,000 BTU air-conditioning unit, while a 240 liter-per-hour desalinator with remote control and auto-flushing manages water production. A Victron 3000W inverter-charger, dual 12V alternator boosters, and an 11 kVA Onan generator provide comprehensive electrical capacity.

The sailing rig is set up for serious offshore work, featuring a Proradial genoa with dedicated winches and rigging, a Codetec 95 gennaker with anti-twist cable, and pre-installation for symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers. Four electric Harken Performa winches and two manual Performa winches handle deck operations. Navigation and systems include dual 19-inch and 12-inch multifunction displays, two Raymarine I70 repeaters, autopilot, radar, AIS, and VHF. Exterior comfort features include a horizontal aft awning with carbon posts, comprehensive Linetex upholstery throughout, bimini over the helm station, and electric davits for the tender.
