This 2023 Contender 44 CB is a 43-foot center console sportfisher built on the brand's stepped-hull design. It runs triple Mercury 600 V12 engines producing 1,800 horsepower combined, with joystick control for precision maneuvering. The boat reaches speeds near 61 knots and cruises comfortably at 39 knots, backed by a 600-gallon fuel capacity for extended offshore range.
The cabin offers a berth with 12-volt air conditioning, electric head, and sink for overnight comfort on longer runs. A mezzanine seating area aft provides space for crew and guests with integrated cooler storage below. The hardtop includes a second control station fitted with a 12-inch Garmin display, electric reel plugs, speakers, and joystick redundancy.
This boat is extensively equipped for tournament fishing. Dual 24-inch Garmin MFDs integrate radar, sonar, charting, and autopilot; a third custom rear-facing unit mounts in the hardtop. Three transom livewells hold approximately 45 gallons each, with an in-deck livewell and plumbing for a bow well. A Best Marine livewell system with six pumps and high-speed pickups supports all bait management. Carbon fiber outriggers from Gemlux, Gemlux rod holders, and extensive tackle storage round out the fishing setup.
Additional features include a Seakeeper 3 gyrostabilizer for stability in rough seas, a windless anchor system, a premium JL Audio sound system throughout the boat, underwater and spreader lighting, and removable ISAN glass wings.
