2023 Excess 12

The Excess 12 is a 2023 catamaran built in fiberglass, measuring 38 feet in length with a 22-foot beam. Powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 90 horsepower each, the boat combines cruising comfort with modern sailing capability. The design features a Pulse line hull decoration, full-batten square-top mainsail, and self-tacking roll jib, with pre-installation for a Code 0 and bowsprit system, making it well-equipped for varied wind conditions.

The interior layout includes a double berth in the saloon, aft cabin with windows and curtain, and galley with portside window. Accommodations feature indirect saloon lighting, additional saloon lights, and a double berth in the saloon with lifting backrests and mattress. The boat is furnished with decorative throw pillows and leather storage throughout.

Power and water systems are comprehensive: dual electrical Harken windlasses (40.2 stern starboard, 46.2 port and starboard), 40-amp charger, additional 280-amp battery bank, 300-liter water tank, 40-liter water heater, 90-liter fridge, 12-volt freezer, and deck wash pump for both fresh and seawater. A 2-kilowatt inverter supports 220-volt appliances, with shore power connection and USB and 230-volt sockets throughout.

Navigation and entertainment are well-appointed with Raymarine electronics including an i70 multi-screen display, p70 autopilot, integrated speed and depth probes, wind probe on the mast, AIS700, and VHF RAY 90. The boat includes a FUSION audio system for saloon and cockpit, dual steering wheels with Axiom 9-inch starboard display, 12-volt cockpit fridge, side ladder access, davits, and foldable propeller blades.
