The Elba 45 is a modern catamaran designed for extended cruising, with a composite hull and a 45-foot length paired with a nearly 25-foot beam. Twin Volvo D2 60 diesel engines provide 120 horsepower each, coupled with folding three-blade propellers and electric windlass control. The boat features three cabins and three heads, arranged to maximize living space across the wide platform typical of the design.
Accommodation includes a convertible saloon table, full galley with integrated gas plancha and microwave oven, and a separate day cabin forward with shade canopy. The three cabins are fitted with slatted berths, and amenities include a 5-kilogram washing machine, electric toilet on freshwater, and comprehensive interior cabinetry in natural PVC. Multiple shade options—fixed bimini and canvas awnings—protect the cockpit and forward lounge areas.
Navigation and engineering systems are thoroughly equipped: dual Garmin Smart Cruising units with separate GPS, VHF, AIS, multifunction displays, and radar. Power generation includes a 10.5-kilowatt variable-speed generator, 360 watts of solar panels, and a 180-liter-per-hour desalinator. Water systems include freshwater pressure pump and seawater on demand. The entertainment suite offers Fusion Bluetooth audio with Bose speakers and television.
Sail handling is supported by electric windlass, boom hook, lazy jack, and lazy bag systems. Optional equipment includes offshore sail package with Profurl genoa furler, gennaker rigging, and electric primary winches. The boat carries a 25-kilogram anchor and chain, mooring kit with fenders, and cockpit tent for additional weather protection.
