The 2023 Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 is a fiberglass catamaran with a 40-foot length and 21-foot-7-inch beam. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines rated at 60 horsepower each provide propulsion. The boat features three cabins and three heads throughout, making it suitable for extended cruising and comfortable accommodation of multiple guests.
The interior layout centers on a bright salon alongside a galley equipped with microwave, oven, and refrigeration. Three private cabins offer ensuite heads. The owner's suite includes battery-powered air conditioning for independent climate control. Accommodations are designed for extended time aboard with comfort and functionality in mind.
Power and water systems reflect a focus on self-sufficiency. A 1200-amp-hour Victron lithium battery bank is paired with a 1600-watt solar array and associated Victron charging infrastructure. A Zen50 watermaker provides fresh water generation. A Fischer Panda 5-kilowatt generator supports the electrical system, alongside an inverter and washer-dryer. Dual shore power connections (120/220 volts) are installed.
On deck, the boat carries a full complement of sailing gear including a Code 0 and gennaker. An electric winch assists sail handling. The cockpit features Flexiteak decking. An oversized Mantus anchor system and davits are fitted. A Highfield 3.1 tender with 9.8-horsepower Tohatsu outboard is included. The port saildrive was recently replaced with warranty remaining, and rigging was inspected in October 2025.
