The 2023 Hinckley Picnic Boat 34 S is a 34-foot downeast-style yacht built with carbon-Kevlar hull and infused epoxy construction. Twin Nanni 370-horsepower diesel engines paired with Hamilton 274 waterjets deliver a cruising speed near 35 knots and a maximum speed of 38 knots. The joystick control system features heading hold and g-lock for precise maneuvering. The hull is finished in Majestic Blue Awlgrip with a red bootstripe, complemented by teak decks and a teak swim platform with stainless steel fittings throughout.
The pilothouse accommodates two at the helm with an additional settee to starboard, all outfitted with Sunbrella cushions. Four oversized frameless windows with powered side slides and self-parking wipers provide visibility, while dual overhead hatches bring natural light and ventilation. The cabin below features a full galley to port with Vitrifrigo refrigeration, microwave, and gas cooktop. The head to starboard includes a VacuFlush electric marine toilet and handheld shower. Forward, a spacious V-berth with insert forms a comfortable sleeping area and includes generous under-berth storage.
The electrical system comprises twin 12-volt house batteries with 210 amp-hours, a 5-kilowatt Kohler diesel generator, and 24,000 BTU air conditioning with heat throughout. Navigation and electronics include a Garmin multifunction display with radar, autopilot, and integrated digital gauges. A proportional hydraulic bow thruster, dual stainless steel trim tabs, and power-assist steering round out the mechanical package. Ground tackle consists of a polished stainless steel anchor with 25 feet of chain and 150 feet of rode, operated by a 12-volt windlass with helm controls and wireless remote.
