2023 Knysna 500SE

The Knysna 500SE is a 50-foot composite catamaran designed by Angelo Lavranos and built in South Africa. Hull number 99, she combines proven blue-water design with modern systems and equipment. Two Yanmar diesel engines of 114 hp each provide reliable propulsion, supported by substantial tank capacities for extended cruising range.

Below deck, the three-cabin layout offers comfortable accommodations with double berths in each cabin, three heads, and a well-appointed galley. The open salon connects directly to the cockpit, creating a flowing main living area suited to both anchoring and passage-making. Storage is generous throughout, designed with long-term cruising in mind.

Equipment reflects serious offshore capability: solar panels, INTEGREL generators, a watermaker, Garmin navigation system, high-quality North Sails, large refrigeration, and air conditioning. Tank capacities are substantial, supporting extended self-sufficiency at sea. The boat has been set up for single-handed ocean sailing, with systems configured for safety and independence during long passages.

The yacht is in near-new condition. She has covered 15,000 miles and has been refitted, remaining ready for immediate use.
