2023 Marsaudon Composites ORC 42 / TS42

The ORC 42, also known as the TS 42, is a performance catamaran built by Marsaudon Composites. This 42-foot multihull features an epoxy-foam sandwich hull construction that balances light weight with structural rigidity, delivering strong performance even in light winds. The design emphasizes ease of handling and responsive helm feel. Fitted with a keel configuration, the boat carries a full suit of Incidence Hydranet sails plus a Mylar gennaker for downwind work. Five winches, including one electric unit, handle sail trim efficiently across small to large crews.

Navigation is managed by an advanced NKE system with high-precision autopilot. Twin 58-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines provide auxiliary power. The boat is equipped with 660 watts of solar panels and a lithium battery pack to support extended cruising. A Schenker watermaker produces 100 liters of fresh water per hour, strengthening self-sufficiency for remote passages.

The interior layout provides four cabins: an owner's cabin and two guest cabins, plus crew accommodation. The space is naturally lit and finished with practical, well-considered fittings. Lithium battery capacity supports extended time at sea with onboard comfort and electronics.

This is hull number 26, the final ORC 42 produced by Marsaudon before the shipyard ended production of the model. The boat has completed one season of Mediterranean sailing.
