The 2023 Scout 400 LXF is a 40-foot fiberglass sportfish built with carbon-epoxy construction and Scout's dual stepped hull technology. Twin Mercury engines producing 1,200 hp were installed in June 2024 and carry Mercury warranty through June 2027. The boat achieves cruising speeds in the low to mid-thirties and tops out over 60 mph.
The cabin includes one stateroom and head. The cockpit features a convertible leaning post with Kenyon grill, sink, and integrated refrigerator, plus tackle drawers and a hideaway mezzanine entertaining area. The hydraulic port-side beach platform is finished with synthetic teak. A Seakeeper 5 gyro stabilizer manages motion in various sea states.
Navigation and control systems center on three Garmin 16-inch MFDs, a Garmin radar, and dual Icom VHF radios. Fishing gear includes retractable rocket launchers, 20-foot Taco carbon outriggers pre-rigged for electric reels, and multiple rod holders. The boat carries Lumishore underwater lights, a Lumitec hard top light bar, and electric cockpit shade. A 12-kw generator has approximately 350 hours of use.
Maintenance work recently completed includes full engine service, generator service, Seakeeper service, and fresh bottom paint. The boat features a foul weather curtain set and Heritage cushion trim package in Scout white hull sides with silver accent stripe.
