The True North 34 OE is a downeast-style boat built with hand-laid fiberglass and a vinylester resin barrier coat designed to resist osmotic blistering. The deck is hand-laid colored fiberglass with a full fiberglass headliner and molded non-skid surface. Construction details include a five-year gel coat blister protection warranty and five-year structural hull warranty.

The interior centers on a single-level layout that connects the galley and main living spaces directly to a large cockpit.
