2024 Aquila 44 Yacht

The Aquila 44 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and social entertainment. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines producing 640 horsepower are mounted aft, behind the living spaces, to minimize noise and vibration. The hull features bulbous bows that increase the waterline for improved efficiency and reduce pitching. Digital controls, multifunction displays, joystick operation, thruster management, and engine monitoring systems are designed to allow single-couple operation.

The three-cabin layout includes a main salon and galley with 360-degree views, three heads, and an expansive flybridge. The galley sits strategically between the aft deck and main salon, facilitating service to guests both indoors and out. A partition window between the aft deck and galley lifts to reveal a fold-out countertop bar, while a summer kitchen serves the aft dinette and flybridge areas. Boarding occurs via port or starboard swim platforms onto a wide aft deck with seating.

Safety and access are emphasized throughout the design. Wide side decks, robust handrails, and a stairway from the flybridge to the foredeck provide secure passage to the ground tackle locker and forward cleats. The catamaran cruises at 16 knots with a maximum speed of 20 knots, measuring 44.92 feet in length with a 21.5-foot beam.
