2024 Seawind 1370

The 2024 Seawind 1370 is a 45-foot composite catamaran built for blue-water sailing. Twin Yanmar 57-horsepower diesel engines provide auxiliary power through saildrive units with three-bladed folding propellers. The boat carries 520 litres of fuel across two tanks and features a robust sailing rig with a double-spreader fractional design. Standing rigging combines Dyform wire with Dyneema sidestays, while halyards are Spectra rope sized for heavy use. A self-tacking headsail with furler and fully battened mainsail with single-line reefing complete the sail plan. Four electric self-tailing sheet winches and fifteen rope clutches bring sail controls to the dual helm stations.

Accommodation spans three cabins: a queen-sized owner's berth to port, a forward starboard queen, and an aft starboard double. Both heads feature electric toilets, vanity basins with hot and cold pressure water, and separate shower stalls. The galley includes a two-burner LPG stove with electronic ignition, a Bosch combi microwave-oven, double stainless sink, and a 130-litre refrigerator plus full-size freezer. The saloon opens to the cockpit via tri-fold gelcoat doors and features a timber dining table that converts to a coffee table or bed. A timber chart table sits opposite.

Systems reflect an ocean-capable specification. Lithium house batteries total 2,330 amp-hours at 24 volts, backed by 2,310 watts of solar panels and a 4,500-watt inverter-charger. Fresh water capacity is 600 litres with pressure-fed hot and cold throughout. An electric anchor windlass handles a 55-pound Delta anchor with 90 metres of high-tensile chain. Navigation electronics include a 12-inch Zeus plotter at the nav desk, additional 12-inch plotters at each helm, a Halo20+ radar, and B&G autopilot. An eight-person life raft with single-pull deployment is installed in the aft beam. The hull and deck are composite construction with vinyl ester resin infusion, PVC foam cores, and carbon fibre reinforcement, certified to CE and Australian survey standards.
