The 2024 Contender 28 Tournament is a hybrid center console designed for shallow-water and offshore fishing. Twin Mercury 200 four-stroke engines deliver solid power, with 600 hours on the engines at time of listing. The hull's moderate draft and wide beam make it capable across varied water conditions.
The helm is equipped with dual Garmin GPSMAP 1243xsv displays, Garmin radar, autopilot, and two VHF radios for navigation and communication. A Garmin Kraken trolling motor and Mercury VesselView round out the electronics package. Audio comes from a Fusion head unit paired with JL Audio marine speakers.
The boat is built around fishing functionality. Large forward and aft casting decks provide room to work, while in-deck insulated fish boxes and a livewell system preserve the catch. Rod holders and under-gunwale storage keep tackle organized, and both raw and fresh water washdowns aid cleanup. The self-bailing cockpit manages water in rough conditions, and premium stainless hardware is used throughout. Custom SeaDek covers protect high-traffic areas, while forward seating and a leaning post helm seat offer comfort during long days on the water.
An AmeraTrail dual-axle trailer is included.
