The ERYD 40 XSM is a 2024 racing and performance cruising yacht designed to meet IRC and ORC racing regulations. The hull has been developed using advanced VPP and CFD analysis to deliver balanced performance across both windward/leeward and coastal racing formats. The boat features a tiller steering system with dual helm stations and can be readily converted between full racing trim and performance cruiser configuration.
Construction employs unidirectional and biaxial glass fiber cloth in a sandwich layup with Corecell core and epoxy resin, delivering high structural rigidity while keeping weight low. The mast, boom, and bowsprit are carbon fiber. This combination of materials and design provides the structural stiffness and light displacement needed for competitive performance across varying wind conditions.
The single cabin accommodates six berths and includes a full galley with a walkthrough layout and a head to starboard. A complete sail set is included, with one season of use. Power comes from a 38 hp Nanni Diesel engine.
