2024 Leopard 53 Powercat

The 2024 Leopard 53 Powercat is a fiberglass catamaran powered by twin 740-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines, capable of 25 knots at top speed with a cruising speed of 17.5 knots. The 53-foot hull spans 25 feet in beam, providing a stable platform with substantial interior volume. The boat accommodates four cabins and four heads, including a custom crew cabin with dedicated shower and toilet that doubles as a guest space.

The owner has invested extensively in energy independence and comfort systems. A 28.8-kilowatt lithium battery bank paired with 5.7 kilowatts of solar panels generates two-thirds of electrical consumption during summer months, reducing generator runtime to 6–10 hours for air conditioning. Two backup generators—a Northern Lights 12-kilowatt unit and a Fischer Panda 8-kilowatt with autostart—provide redundancy. The boat features a 200-liter-per-hour water maker, three thousand-watt inverter, and a retractable shore power connection with digital switching.

The flybridge is fully appointed with a wet bar, icemaker, refrigerator, and grill, laid out in composite teak decking with front and side enclosure and aft sunshade. The interior includes upgraded upholstery and carpets throughout the three primary cabins, a motorized television lift in the saloon, and a four-zone audio system with Sonos amplifiers and Fusion speakers. Navigation relies on Raymarine electronics including two AXIOM XL19 displays on the flybridge, an AXIOM 12 on the main bridge, augmented-reality front camera, rear camera, autopilot, and AIS. Additional conveniences include a Highfield SP390 rigid inflatable tender with 50-horsepower Honda outboard, 14 underwater lights, bow thruster, hydraulic swim platform, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and dual deck wash systems.
