The Outremer 45 is a modern cruising catamaran built in 2024 by Outremer Yachting to a Barreau/Neuman design. At 48 feet long with a 23.46-foot beam, the hull features extended skirts that optimize both sailing efficiency and living space. The boat was launched in May 2024 and has been maintained to the highest standard, arriving in its current condition with minimal engine hours at 580.
The layout comprises three cabins and two heads, arranged around a spacious saloon with natural light and ergonomic functionality. The galley is well-appointed for extended cruising, and ample storage throughout supports long-term voyaging. An electric winch reduces the physical demands of sail handling, making operations manageable for smaller crews.
Power comes from two Volvo Penta D1-30 diesel engines of 30 horsepower each, with folding three-blade propellers that minimize drag under sail. The 330-liter fuel tank provides substantial range. For offshore self-sufficiency, the boat carries 1200 watts of solar panels, three 3000Wh lithium batteries, and a 100-liter-per-hour watermaker. Navigation is supported by a Raymarine H5000 system. The sail plan includes a full set of Incidences sails: mainsail and Solent in Hydranet, a Code Zero, and a downwind gennaker, all engineered for durability and versatility.
