The 2024 Ranger RT178C is an aluminum runabout built for serious fishing. At 17 feet 10 inches long with a 7-foot-8-inch beam, it combines responsive handling with practical deck space designed for anglers who work multiple rods and presentations.
The layout centers on three-across front seating positioned for spider-rigging or dock work. A full-length rod box spanning 8 feet 6 inches runs down the starboard side, while the widened bow keeps tackle organized without cluttering your feet. Forward of the console sits an in-deck tackle box with direct access, and a divided, timed, and aerated livewell sits underfoot. The console itself is a fiberglass cantilever design with generous legroom beneath.
The rear deck offers equal utility: two additional tackle storage boxes and a second livewell provide room for both gear and fish. Storage continues under the rear bench seating. The boat is equipped with a Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor featuring Spot-Lock and LiveScope capability, remote control operation, and three batteries with a plug-in charger. A boat cover and custom-built Ranger Trail trailer with premium wheels and Road Armor corrosion protection are included.
The boat has seen minimal use since delivery, with only five outings logged.
