The 2024 World Cat 400 CC-X is a 40-foot center console catamaran built on a fiberglass hull and powered by four Mercury V8 300 Verado engines delivering 1,200 horsepower total. The twin-hull design provides stability and shallow-water performance, with a cruising speed of 38 knots and a maximum speed of 53 knots. A joystick control system manages the quad engines for intuitive handling at the helm.
The boat is extensively outfitted for fishing and entertainment. The helm features triple captain's chairs with an electrically adjustable center seat and a large hardtop sheltering second-row sleigh seating. An aft helm station has three chairs with armrests. Livewell systems include a 60-gallon port-side aquarium livewell with a Hooker 2500 GPH variable-speed pump and a starboard bait prep station with a freshwater sink and 30-gallon livewell. A hardtop-mounted six-rod rocket launcher and Gemlux outrigger bases with 22-foot collapsible carbon fiber poles support serious fishing. Aft tackle storage incorporates a slide-out cooler, and forward bow seating features three-piece magnetic cushions.
Electronics are comprehensive: dual 22-inch Garmin displays, Garmin GMR radome radar, dual VHF radios with AIS antennas, AIS 800 receiver, and a B175M thru-hull transducer. A stereo system includes two subwoofers, multiple speakers, and 800/600-watt amplifiers. Four RGB underwater lights and a forward 20-inch Rigid light bar with 13,000 lumens and halo ring complete the lighting package.
The boat carries 604 gallons of fuel capacity standard, expandable to 712 gallons with the extended-range option. A windlass anchor system and custom full boat cover are included. The Mercury engines come with an extended warranty through January 2030.
