The Aquila 44 is a 44.91-foot fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and entertaining. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines generating 640 horsepower are mounted aft, positioned behind the living spaces to minimize noise and vibration. The hull features bulbous bows to increase waterline length for improved efficiency and reduced pitching. The design incorporates multifunction displays, digital controls, joystick operation, engine monitoring, bow and stern thrusters, and widely spaced main engines to allow easy single-operator handling.
The deck layout prioritizes safety and accessibility. Wide side decks with safety handrails run the length of the yacht. A dedicated stairway connects the flybridge to the foredeck, providing convenient access to the ground tackle locker and forward cleats. Port and starboard swim platforms offer easy boarding to the aft deck, which features an al fresco dinette.
The three-cabin accommodation includes a main salon and galley positioned between the aft deck and interior dinette, allowing flexible food service for guests both inside and outside. The galley window partition lifts and the countertop folds to create a service bar. An additional summer kitchen serves the aft-mounted dinette and those on the flybridge above. The salon and galley benefit from 360-degree views. The flybridge provides panoramic sightlines for passengers and the operator while underway.
