2025 Cobalt R8 Outboard

The 2025 Cobalt R8 Outboard is a 28-foot cruiser built on a Kevlar-reinforced fiberglass hull with a white gelcoat and Bayside Blue boot stripe. Twin Mercury 250 XL Verado V8 outboard engines power the boat and drive a comprehensive package of control and performance features: joystick Skyhook steering, digital throttle shifting with Mercury Active Trim Control, Lenco trim tabs, and a triple battery system. The electronics suite includes dual Garmin 8610 touchscreen displays and a Fusion Bluetooth stereo integrated with a JL Audio speaker and subwoofer system.

The open-air cockpit layout centers on an electric captain's chair and includes full aft transom loungers with adjustable backrests and storage, a teak-inlaid table with cup holders, and bow filler cushions. The power-folding arch carries a black Bimini top with board sleeves and a rotating sunshade, while RGB lighting accents the exterior and interior throughout. Underwater lighting, power windlass with stainless steel anchor, and a wraparound windshield complete the exterior package.

Below deck, the boat has one head with toilet and a private entrance. The cabin features gray SeaGrass flooring, a built-in soft-side cooler, in-seat storage, hidden trash bins, stainless cup holders, and charging ports including USB-C. Storage runs throughout, from the lockable glove box to under-cushion compartments and mounting points for the included cockpit table.
