2026 Cobalt R8

The 2026 Cobalt R8 is a 27-foot fiberglass cruiser built for family and entertaining. Powered by a Volvo Penta 380 hp V8 dual prop sterndrive, it combines solid performance with a purposeful design. The boat features an open bow layout with increased freeboard and higher profile, creating an airy and spacious setting. The generous bow and cockpit provide ample seating and storage, while the hull is finished in rich ebony with a caramel and carbon interior.

The R8 comes equipped with dual Garmin 8610 glass cockpit displays for navigation, trim tabs for ride optimization, and an all-chain windlass with anchor. Entertainment features include a premium sound system with transom and arch speakers, wireless phone charging, and RGB LED interior accent lighting. Onboard comfort is enhanced by an electric helm seat and electric porcelain head with macerator, supporting extended time on the water.

The swim platform incorporates a patented flip-down swim step with Sof-Trac flooring for superior comfort and traction throughout the boat. Additional details include stainless steel docking lights, a black folding arch with rotating sunshade, storage compartment lighting, a 110V battery maintainer, and a transom tilt switch for drive control from the swim platform. A black mooring cover provides weather protection when the boat is not in use.

The R8 comes with a custom-built Boatmate trailer for transportation and storage.
