The Excess 14 is a modern 45-foot performance catamaran designed for offshore cruising. Built in fiberglass with twin 114 hp Yanmar diesel engines, she combines responsive handling with comfortable living spaces. The Owner Version features the Pulse Line rigging package, extended bowsprit, and a full complement of sails including square-top mainsail, genoa, Code Zero, and Elvström MPS downwind sail. Electric winches and a Flatwinder traveller manage the sail plan. Twin 12-inch Garmin chartplotters, autopilot controls, VHF, radar, and AIS provide comprehensive navigation and safety systems.
Below deck, the layout offers three cabins plus a convertible dressing room or fourth cabin space. The owner's hull includes a dedicated office, ensuite, and generous storage and dressing areas. Three heads serve the accommodation. The galley is well equipped, and three refrigerators plus two freezers provide cold storage alongside a washing machine.
Off-grid capability is substantial: over 3000 watts of solar panels charge 1200 Ah of Victron lithium batteries, paired with an Aquabase watermaker producing 105 liters per hour. On deck, a full cockpit enclosure and skylounge protect from weather, with additional sunshades for the cockpit and foredeck. A 3.4-meter dinghy with 20 hp outboard is included. The engines feature folding propellers to reduce drag underway. Full safety equipment and bedding round out the inventory. A new 2025 model, she is ready for immediate delivery.
