2025 Fountaine Pajot Aura 51 Catamaran

The Aura 51 is a 52-foot sailing catamaran built for extended cruising. Her fiberglass hulls span nearly 27 feet across the beam, delivering the interior volume rare at this size. The layout is notably flexible: the owner's cabin occupies the entire left hull with direct stern access, large storage, and an ensuite with separate shower and toilet. The right hull contains three guest cabins with double beds, each with its own bathroom. Crew quarters nestle in the extreme bows, one with shower facilities. A saloon-cockpit deck opens fully to the elements, providing panoramic views and flexible living space.

The accommodation runs four cabins and four heads throughout. The galley features an island configuration, while the saloon includes a dinette with television and an electrically foldable table. Climate control via reversible air conditioning, a washer-dryer, microwave, boiler, and both internal and external refrigeration support comfortable long-distance voyaging. Fresh water comes from an 180-litre desalinator; storage includes three autoclave tanks for fresh and seawater.

Propulsion consists of twin Yanmar engines rated at 80 horsepower each. Power generation is handled by an 11-kilowatt generator, with five AGM 150-amp batteries and a 3-kilowatt charger providing auxiliary electricity. A 2,000-watt solar panel array supplements the system. Sails include a battened mainsail of 95 square metres and a 59-square-metre genoa, both equipped with Profurl furling and lazy systems.

Navigation and safety systems are comprehensive: three Garmin GPS units, radar, twin VHF radios with DSC, autopilot, wind station, depth sounder, and log. An electric windlass, platform with tender saddles, liferaft, and full safety equipment complete the package. Teak cockpit decking, bow and cockpit cushions, a bimini with external console closure, and extensive lighting throughout support both cruising and entertainment.
