The 2025 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 is a 44-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built on an entirely new generation platform. The hull features a distinctive full-length chine design with a scow bow that maintains buoyancy forward while cutting through water efficiently. The bow naturally rides up into swells rather than plunging, producing a drier, more comfortable motion underway. A single 57-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine provides auxiliary power, with the boat reaching 8.75 knots at maximum throttle and cruising comfortably at 8 knots under sail.

The layout prioritizes ease of movement and livability. Wide, inclined side decks lead from twin helm stations directly to the bow without obstruction. Below deck, a central galley sits low in the hull to lower the center of gravity and optimize sailing performance. Three cabins each contain true rectangular berths with full headroom throughout, while two heads serve the accommodation spaces. Large rectangular hull ports, oversized windows, and numerous deck hatches flood the interior with natural light.

Interior finishes use Alpi Grey Oak woodwork accented with bright white throughout, creating an open and airy feel. Storage is distributed low in the boat to maintain optimal weight distribution.
