The 2025 Malibu Wakesetter 22 MXZ is a fiberglass ski and wake boat powered by a 6.2L Malibu M6 engine producing 430 horsepower. At just under 22 feet long with an 8.5-foot beam, it offers a compact footprint while delivering performance typically found in larger models. The boat is built for serious wake surfing, with the patented Malibu Surfgate surf system paired with the PowerWedge III for customizable wave shaping at full capacity and ballast.

The interior features a new-for-2025 dashboard design alongside comprehensive audio: a 12-inch subwoofer, two 8-inch tower speakers, and multiple interior speakers.
