The Maxus 26 is a 26-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built for coastal and inland cruising with genuine versatility. Its standout feature is a retractable daggerboard and trailerability, supported by the Maxus Quick Setup System that deploys the boat from its trailer and steps the mast in 30 minutes. The boat sits on a single inboard diesel engine—a Yanmar 2YM15 of 14 horsepower with a 54-liter fuel tank and folding propeller. The hull design balances shallow draft and responsive sailing performance, suited to both beginners and experienced sailors.
The interior sleeps up to six passengers across a practical cabin layout. Accommodations include a saloon, galley with dual-burner cooker and optional refrigeration, an enclosed head with shower option, and multiple storage lockers. The boat comes equipped with a 20-liter fresh water tank with pump and faucets, 110V shore power installation with charger, and gas installation with space for a bottle and reducer. Navigation electronics include Garmin instruments with echo sounder and wind sensing, VHF radio, and autopilot.
Deck equipment centers on Harken hardware with adjustable jib travelers and mainsheet tackle, Andersen winches, lazy jib bag and jack system, and a bow platform with anchor storage. The rigging uses stainless steel A4/316L fittings and stiff-stay roller furling. Additional features include a cockpit table, LED lighting throughout, a laminated daggerboard with optional iron bulb for increased draft, and navigation lights. A protective boat cover is included.
