The 2025 Ranger Tugs R-25 is a 28-foot fiberglass cruiser built around thoughtful design and practical functionality. Powered by a single 250-horsepower Yamaha outboard, the boat cruises at 24 knots and benefits from the builder's patented Laminar Flow Interrupter technology for smooth handling. A standout feature is the extended swim platform and handrails that run aft of the motor, creating an unobstructed walkway clear of engine rigging—ideal for boarding a dinghy, fishing, accessing low docks, or tying alongside without risk to the outboard.
The main salon is bright and airy, with a dinette that seats four or converts into a bed for two. A spacious quarter berth with a removable mattress offers additional sleeping space or storage flexibility. The galley is fully equipped with an electric/alcohol stovetop, refrigerator/freezer combo, microwave, and sink with hot and cold water. A private enclosed head with sink is also included.
The forward stateroom provides a private sleeping cabin with a large bed, opening hatches for ventilation, reading lights, and a TV/DVD combo. Navigation and performance monitoring are handled by a Garmin 1242xsv chartplotter with GPS, transducer, and sonar. The R-25 is trailerable, making it practical for both cruising and fishing trips.
