2026 Catamaran Dual Flyer 400

The Dual Flyer 400 is a 40-foot composite catamaran designed as a live-aboard cruiser. Built using epoxy resin-infused core construction with carbon reinforcement in high-load areas, the hull features curved asymmetrical dagger boards and fixed rudders. Two Yammer diesel inboards of 38 horsepower each drive the boat through sail drives with folding propellers.

The deck saloon contains a U-shaped seating area with cushions and dining table, galley with induction stove, refrigerator-freezer and sink, and starboard-side steering station with full instrument and engine controls. Drop-down windows and dual aft doors open to the deck. The forward section offers access to two super-trampoline areas with seating cushions, plus additional storage accessible via hatches. A double diamond aluminum mast with stainless steel rigging supports a main sail of 60 square meters, jib of 31.6 square meters, and optional 86 square meter code zero sail.

Accommodation spans three cabins across both hulls. The port hull owner's cabin features a double bunk, electric head, vanity with hot and cold shower, office with desk, and three portlights. The starboard hull contains a double bunk plus a single bunk in the crossbeam, electric head, vanity with shower, and two portlights. Both cabins have foam-core storage cabinetry with wood-veneered doors throughout.

Systems include a 400-liter fresh water tank and 400-liter fuel tank, two manual bilge pumps plus four remotely mounted and two engine-room pumps with float switches, and two electric toilets. Navigation and communication equipment comprises a Raymarine 9-inch chartplotter, autohelm, depth/speed/wind instrument, VHF with DSC, and compass. Four 180-watt solar panels mounted on the cabin roof support house and engine starting batteries. Deck hardware includes two Lewmar hatches, five portlights, aluminum mooring cleats, stanchions, five winches, rope clutches, and standing rigging with blocks and halyards.
