2026 Excess 14

The 2026 Excess 14 is a 46-foot lightweight catamaran built for fast, confident offshore sailing. Powered by twin Yanmar 4JH45 diesel engines of 57 horsepower each, the hull combines performance with the spacious beam and stability typical of the category. The design emphasizes responsive helm control and refined sailing characteristics suited to extended passages and ocean cruising.

The interior arranges three cabins and three heads across the catamaran's 25-foot beam. Accommodations include a forward starboard cabin with an additional berth in the walk-in dressing area, and an aft cabin with porthole and curtain. The main salon features a fridge-freezer, galley with countertops and storage, and a companionway with prefitting for washer-dryer installation. Deck access via coachroof stairs leads to a forward pulpit with wooden seats. A 75-liter aft cockpit fridge and composite bimini on the helm station support both cruising comfort and weather protection.

The sailing plan includes a square-top mainsail and overlapping genoa in grey eXRP Ekko laminate, with ball-bearing trimmable genoa cars and an electric mainsail traveller. A Code 0 with manual furler and long bowsprit extends light-air capability. Manual winches support on-deck operations, and textile lifelines run throughout. Twin helm stations feature 16-inch Garmin navigation displays, Garmin autopilot, and Fusion sound systems.

Systems include Garmin electronics with wind and speed-depth-temperature transducers, AIS transponder, and VHF radio. Dealer upgrades encompass a 1510-watt solar array, three air-conditioning zones totaling 40,000 BTU capacity, an 8-kilowatt genset with supersilent kit, a Cerbo GX system, Quattro inverter, lithium battery bank of 1200 amp-hours, and a fire suppression system. Manual dinghy davits in composite grey provide tender deployment. Three coats of antifouling, four dock lines, an anchor set-up, and six fenders are included.
