2026 Excess 14

The 2026 Excess 14 is a 46-foot fiberglass catamaran built for offshore cruising. Powered by twin Yanmar 4JH45 diesel engines rated at 57 horsepower each, the boat delivers capable performance across its 25.75-foot beam. The design combines sailing efficiency with practical seaworthiness, featuring a square-top mainsail and overlapping genoa in eXRP Ekko laminate, supported by an electric mainsail traveler and Code 0 gear with manual furler on an extended bowsprit.

Below decks, the layout includes three cabins and three heads, with accommodations spread across the wide hulls. The galley features misty grey Kerrock countertops and a 155-liter fridge-freezer unit, while the saloon is equipped with a Fusion sound system and dedicated air conditioning. A 75-liter aft cockpit fridge, inverter, and comprehensive freshwater systems support extended cruising. Cedar flooring and Navarra pine flooring define the interior, with cloud-colored upholstery inside and checker grey inboard outside. Custom orange textile handles and composite steering wheels carry through the Pulse Line specification package.

Navigation and helm control are handled by dual Garmin 16-inch displays at each helm station, supported by a Garmin AIS 800 transceiver, autopilot, and dedicated instruments including speed, depth, temperature, and wind transducers. Twin composite biminis provide shelter at each helm. Electric primary winches and manual backup winches support sail handling, while a manual sea water pump and deck wash system serve practical onboard needs.

The boat incorporates substantial power infrastructure including a 9.6-kilowatt generator, 1200-amp-hour lithium battery bank, Quattro inverter, and Cerbo GX system. Solar panels with 1510 watts of capacity reduce reliance on engine power. Multiple air conditioning zones, a prefitted washer-dryer station, and manual dinghy davits complete the specification. The hull has received three coats of antifouling.
