2026 Fleming 55 Pilothouse
About This Yacht
The Fleming 55 is a raised pilothouse motor yacht built on a proven semi-displacement hull design that balances performance with cruising efficiency. The boat is powered by twin Cummins QSC 500 hp common rail diesel engines, allowing a top speed of approximately 18 knots while maintaining a comfortable 17-knot sustained cruising speed. At a more economical 10-knot pace, typical fuel consumption runs slightly above 10 gallons per hour, and the yacht can cover 2,000 nautical miles at 8 knots. The moderate deadrise and deep keel provide stability in following seas and a measured ride that does not demand constant speed adjustments in rough water.
The Fleming 55 spans 55 feet in length with a 16-foot beam and accommodates three cabins and two heads. The raised pilothouse design supports the serious cruising mission, offering good sightlines and command of the boat. Seatorque anti-vibration drive systems are integrated into the design, reducing noise and vibration to create a notably quiet and smooth operating environment.
The hull is constructed of fiberglass and represents over three decades of refinement. Since its 1986 introduction, the Fleming 55 has undergone continuous development with hundreds of improvements in materials, technology, and construction methods, while the fundamental hull form has remained unchanged. Over 235 examples have been built, establishing the design as one of the most successful production yachts in the industry.
