The Fountaine Pajot FP55 is a 55-foot sailing catamaran with a flybridge—the first in its class to feature one. Twin YANMAR diesel engines of 220 horsepower each power the composite hull, which spans nearly 29 feet beam. The flybridge carries a centralized helm station offering full 360-degree views and consolidated control of all maneuvers. This design distinguishes the FP55 among catamarans of its size.
The interior is defined by generous, naturally lit spaces. A large sliding window and direct access from the saloon to the forward cockpit provide ventilation and flow previously reserved for the brand's flagship models. The boat accommodates seven cabins and seven heads across multiple configuration options: the Maestro layout offers five double cabins including one large owner's suite; the Double Maestro provides four doubles with two identical owner's suites—one in each hull—plus two independent crew cabins; the Charter version features six identical double cabins. This flexibility suits family cruising, extended voyages, or charter operations alike.
An electric hybrid propulsion system (ODSea+) is available as an alternative to conventional diesel power, combining renewable energy with extended cruising range while keeping all powertrain development in-house.
