This 2021 Hylas 57 is a next-generation systems yacht completed after significant design refinements were identified in the model line. Built with a fiberglass hull, 57 feet long and 17 feet across the beam, she carries a single 150-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine that cruises at 8 knots with a maximum speed of 10 knots. The yacht accommodates three cabins and two heads.

The defining characteristic of this boat is her advanced power and energy architecture. She carries a 900 amp-hour lithium battery bank at 24 volts—the largest in the Hylas 57 fleet—paired with a 2-kilowatt solar array integrated into the hardtop and retractable soft top. This system enables true off-grid cruising with silent operation and can run the air conditioning for over 12 hours on battery alone. The three-zone marine inverter air-conditioning system uses variable-speed compressor technology for efficiency and minimal noise and can operate overnight on stored power. An ElectroSea ClearLine system connected to the air-conditioning raw water intake generates chlorine from seawater to continuously clean the condenser and prevent biological fouling.

The yacht's accommodations and systems reflect careful engineering refinements. An 18-gallon water heater with dual electric elements and dual heat-exchanger loops supports efficient hot water production. The engine room was redesigned for improved serviceability and access, with the water heater relocated from beneath the aft berth and the airdry bilge system moved from the galley to reduce onboard noise. Navigation is handled by four Raymarine Axiom 2 XL 16-inch displays running the latest software and hardware.

The cockpit is fitted with a one-of-a-kind owner-designed enclosure featuring a polycarbonate retractable dodger on a custom stainless-steel track with a sliding center panel for airflow. An aft bespoke soft top with a carbon-fiber frame provides full 360-degree protection and retracts completely in under five minutes, allowing the cockpit to transform between protected and open-air configurations.
