The Jasper Marine Defender 22 is a 27-foot aluminum runabout built around a deep-V hull designed for stability and a dry ride across varying water conditions. Powered by a single 300-horsepower Mercury engine, it planes quickly and cruises at 30 knots while drawing shallow draft—shallow enough to beach in sand or approach coves inaccessible to deeper-hulled boats. The lightweight aluminum construction keeps it towable and manageable for launch and storage.
The open bow layout prioritizes usable space with forward and aft seating areas. The design accommodates multiple uses: fishing, diving, watersports, and family cruising all work within the same footprint. A self-bailing cockpit and one head support extended time on the water. An enclosed bow option with cuddy berth is available as an alternative to the open configuration.
This model remains in production, allowing customization of optional equipment to suit individual needs.
