2026 Lightning Kayaks Strike HD

The Strike HD is a 12.5-foot kayak built from linear HDPE with a tri-hull design engineered for stability. The boat features an aluminum frame seat with padded mesh fabric and three adjustable positions to fit paddlers of different sizes. A cushioned Marine Mat flooring system provides a stable standing platform on the water.

Storage capacity includes a large rear tank well and two hatches, suitable for day trips or overnight outings. The deck layout accommodates gear for fishing, picnicking, or camping excursions.

The kayak is powered by Lightning Kayaks' Freedom Drive propulsion system—a foot-operated mechanism where bilateral fin movement mimics penguin-wing propulsion. The drive locks securely into place and retracts into a hull recess, allowing minimal draft in shallow water during launch and landing.
