The Lyman-Morse HUNT Express Cruiser Flybridge is a 42-foot composite boat developed in collaboration with C. Raymond Hunt Associates. This flybridge model combines modern design with practical cruising capability, engineered for extended passage-making along the Maine coast and beyond. The hull and deck are built using SCRIMP infusion with vinylester resin and Corecell core, a construction method that minimizes weight while maintaining structural integrity.
Twin diesel engines power the boat. The design emphasizes self-sufficiency and quiet operation through modern, efficient systems. The flybridge layout provides commanding sight lines, while the interior accommodations were refined through a full-scale mockup during development to optimize helm console placement, anchor-handling arrangements, and cabin comfort.
The boat sleeps multiple guests and includes one head. The design prioritizes the balance between comfort and weight reduction necessary for performance and fuel efficiency, making it well-suited for extended cruising at reasonable speeds.
