The NEEL 52 Hybrid is a 52-foot trimaran designed by Marc Lombard, combining the core architecture of its predecessor with updated performance features and modern rigging. Built in fiberglass, the boat is fitted with a single 110 hp Volvo diesel engine paired with an Integrel E-Drive hybrid electric system. The electrical package includes solar panels, lithium batteries, and high-output alternators. At 30.5 feet of beam, the trimaran's width provides inherent stability and performance characteristics distinct from conventional multihulls.
The interior accommodates five cabins across a spacious, open layout, with four heads. The design performs well across a range of conditions—responsive in light winds and stable in heavier seas. The trimaran configuration, with its single longitudinal main hull and outboard floats, allows for a rigid forestay structure similar to a monohull, supporting efficient upwind sailing and centered weight distribution throughout the boat.
