The NEEL 52 Hybrid is a 52-foot trimaran designed by Marc Lombard, combining the proven DNA of its predecessor with updated performance and modern rigging. Built in fiberglass, this tri-hull benefits from the inherent stability and speed advantages of trimaran design—a maximum righting moment not reached until 27 degrees of heel compared to 12 degrees on catamarans, and a rigid forestay configuration that mirrors monohull efficiency for superior upwind performance. Powered by a single 110 hp Volvo diesel engine paired with an Integrel E-Drive hybrid electric system, the boat delivers capability across varying wind conditions.
Interior accommodations span five cabins and four heads, offering substantial living space for extended cruising. The layout prioritizes comfort and functional living areas throughout the main hull and sponsons. The electrical system has been upgraded with solar panels, lithium batteries, and high-output alternators to support both the hybrid propulsion and onboard systems.
The Neel 52 is engineered as a stable cruiser in heavy weather while maintaining responsive performance in light winds, with the trimaran's weight distribution and structural design contributing to both seaworthiness and speed. This boat is coming soon.
