2026 Nimbus Commuter 9
About This Yacht
The Nimbus Commuter 9 is a 30-foot fiberglass cruiser built for daily commuting, weekend getaways, and longer coastal passages. Powered by a single 350-horsepower Mercury engine, it cruises at 30 knots and draws on Scandinavian design principles that prioritize clean lines, smart layout, and practical functionality.
The cockpit is the boat's social hub, featuring a large sliding glass roof hatch that floods the space with natural light. A modern helm position seats the driver and one passenger, with the option to install a single 9-inch, 12-inch, or twin 12-inch chartplotters. Four swiveling cockpit chairs surround a dining area, or five people can be accommodated total. The convertible cockpit sofa transforms into a bed for two children or one adult. An electronically opening canvas canopy is available as an alternative to the standard glass roof.
Forward accommodations include a cabin with a double berth, separate head, and kitchenette. A large foredeck hatch provides access to the cabin and interior stowage. An optional daybed on the foredeck seats four people and can be configured with a table or extended as a sunbed. The aft deck holds a wide sofa with generous stowage beneath.
